Karmann is 2 years and 6 month old. She can sing and identify all the letters of the alphabet; she can count clearly to twenty; she can walk up and down stairs by herself; she can sing twinkle twinkle little star from beginning to end with music - along with lots of other songs; she knows how to use an Iphone to get to her favorite Fergie music video as well as all the Elmo videos and kid friendly apps; she can drink from a cup and use a fork and spoon; she can draw circles; she can make us laugh at any given moment; and she KNOWS how to go #1 and #2 on the potty, BUT....
I can't get her to USE the potty while at home.
Okay, so today she did pee in the potty twice, but only after giving her a huge guilt trip (I convinced her I was so sad that the only thing that would make mommy happy was for her to pee on the potty) and bribe her with cookies. But all other times, it was a "No!"
I swear she is going to be 21 before she gets this and does it on her own free will. In the mean time, I don't know what I am going to do.
Along those lines, bed time is about as frustrating. We read, we rock, we lay with her, we do everything we can, and it still may take over an hour and a half to get her to sleep. This is new - within the last month or so, and its also driving me crazy. She used to be easy to get to sleep - maybe 30 minute routine between reading and sleeping. So, I'm not sure what is going on.
Okay, I had to vent. As these are my thoughts for today.
