Baby 2 update

Just an update from last week. I had my 24 week (yes, that is 6 MONTHS) update on Wednesday. I officially hit the 20 lb. mark - and I feel it! I would post the photo of me, but it was probably one of the worst pictures Kris has ever taken of me, so I've decided I'll wait till the next best opportunity. Baby's heartbeat was around 140 - which I thought that Karmann's was always higher, but I looked back at my blog and hers was around the same. Last night, this baby woke me up around 4 am kicking like crazy! Mostly on the right side, but getting me in my ribs. I almost couldn't get back to sleep it was so wild! I guess its just a little foreshadowing for the months to come.

Karmann had a busy weekend this weekend. We are still trying to accomplish the potty training goal...she hasn't had pull-ups on for two weeks, but each weekend we seem to have 1 or 2 accidents. Mostly when she's on Kris' clock (I'm not criticizing, I'm telling the truth!) Tonight it was funny in two parts. The first accident was probably both our fault. We were watching the end of the Women's World Cup and Karmann tried to pee by herself without telling us, but forgot to pull her pants down, but at least she was in the bathroom! The second funny (well, I think it was funny) she was with Kris at Lowe's and she game him a golden shower!! She didn't even warn him or anything! She was probably just too tired and didn't care at that time. He changed her in the car and brought her home asleep, poor thing!

She hadn't had a nap today since we had a pool playdate with her daycare friends. I enjoyed it as much as she did, and loved the fact that Kris was there too, so I could relax a little in the water - which felt really nice! Yesterday Karmann had another birthday party and that too was a blast. She's got quite the schedule this summer!!

Well, we are going to take advantage of her early bedtime tonight and watch a movie and do laundry (yippie!) Have a good week.
