Procrastination funny

Karmann is staring to master the skill of procrastination. Bed time is the worst. Here's what happened tonight:
We had a great dinner (Greek from Theo's down the street) and afterwords we watched Kipper and Cat in the hat - and Karmann and I both danced and sang through the whole dvd. Then when it was over, no complaints to the bathtub, with only a little resistance to going pee pee in "froggy" - but she did it! Then we had a fun bath and no complaints there. She decided she didn't want to put her pj's on but just her "big girl pants". Daddy read her a few stories and she was in her bed by 8:30! I was thinking it was going to be a quick beditme...then she seemed to get her second wind. At first she got out of bed and wanted to "cook" in her kitchen. Then back in bed. Then she was dancing with her feet on the walls. Then I got up to leave, so she threw her fit and I rocked her, then she wanted to lay back down in bed. Finally, she started to settle and she told me I could sit in the chair. Just when I thought she was asleep, she sits up and says "Mommy, will you cut my nails?" I said "what?!?" and she got out of bed, put her foot up on the chair and says, "Mommy, cut my nails please." So, since she was asking, and she hardly ever lets me do it other wise, I figured I'd take her up on the generous offer. She's needed her toe nails clipped for a while, so I guess she too got fed up. So, I get the clippers and she points to each of her toe nails, and each of her fingers saying "this one" for each, while I clip them off. She then wants to clip my nails, which I graciously let her try (we really just pretend) and then she's happy and finished and hands me back the clippers and heads back into bed!!! When she gets in bed she says, "Mommy, can I have my shirt?" so I put it on her - no struggles, and she lays down and goes to sleep!! I was so shocked that I had to blog about it. Moments like this - with complete voluntary coopertation - make all the stuborn frustrating moments just melt away. Bless her heart! I love her!!!
