Teething time and a 6 month baby!

Still no teeth - but lots of drool and crankiness!

Happy 6 month old girl!
Goodness gracious! The past two weeks have been crazy busy and I have been slacking on the entries - I apologize! I have been busy trying to sooth a teething baby! Karmann turned 6 months old on Friday (can you believe it?!) and though she is sitting up by herself and is gleefully hanging out on her belly now - except when she's going to sleep - she still will not eat off of a spoon for Kris or me, and she still does not have any teeth! We are visiting the pediatrician tomorrow for her 6 month checkup and her shots so I'll have an update on the little chubby girl's weight and percentiles tomorrow.
In the mean while, when she's not in pain from her teeth, she continues to be a very happy little girl! Last week we visited our good friends Joe and Martha's house, and Alberto, Bianca, Lucia and Albertico were there as well. Lucia performed her ballet show for us and Karmann was so entertained! She LOVES Lucia and watched every move she made. She even belly laughed the most of the night when Lucia was playing with her. It was so cute and funny at dinner that both Martha and I were crying we were laughing so hard! It was soo cute! We wish we had video!! Albertico is about ready to start walking and Karmann was taking note of that as well! Pretty soon we will all have our hands full when we have our visits! I am looking forward to it!
Also, today was Kris' first father's day! The day started out good as we went for an early morning walk and had a plan for my dad to come down and we were off to get Kris a new TV!! Yesterday Kris' sister Keri and her husband Choy came over from Tampa to visit us and see Sarah and Charlie who were also in town for the weekend . Choy helped Kris rearrange our concrete counter top and TV/entertainment center so that a wide screen TV would fit. We've been wanting to do this for a while now and I was so happy the guys got it done this weekend. Anyway, the plan was to get the TV and watch the US Open golf tournament and baseball all afternoon! Late this morning, however, Kris' sister Sarah called and informed us that his dad had a bout of confusion and delusion this morning, and was in the hospital for tests. His blood pressure was very high too and they don't know what is causing it. So, to make a long story short, he is doing fine, has his memory back (he only lost it for about 30 minutes) and is staying the night in the hospital for tests in the morning, but otherwise feels fine. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers as we hope everything is okay and they figure out what caused it.
In the mean time, Kris did manage to get the TV today and it is all set up. So the day ended up okay beside all the events.
Here are a few photos from Karmann turning half-a-year-old and our visits this weekend. Enjoy!
