Runny noses and gooey eye / Memorial Day Weekend

Lots to update, so I'll jump right in. Memorial Day weekend started a week without Kris. In fact, all the Stenger girls were "sans hubbies" while the boys were out of cell phone range in Canada fishing for a full week. Misery loves company, so Deb and Sarah came down to Florida to hang out with Karmann and me. We had a great time just hanging with the girls watching movies and just visiting and playing with Karmann, but I don't know if I'll let Kris leave and not have at least phone service! I guess we take it for granted for sure!
In the mean time, I was lucky that Deb stayed all week to watch Karmann and help me while I was at work. We had a great time watching K sit up by her self, roll over - over and over and over again, and we also had to nurse her stuffy nose and gooey eye muck. Dr. Coffman said she would be sick after two weeks at daycare, and he was right! But at least she was home all week to recover. She was still a happy girl most of the time, but didn't sleep very well, so needless to say I am still exhausted! Karmann really enjoyed Grandma taking care of her - and so did I!!
The guys returned to civilization on Friday and we were able to talk to them. Kris returned to Orlando on Saturday with a bit of a beard and lots of smelly clothes, but he was in one piece and refreshed from the Canada air, and happy to see Karmann for sure! I swear she grew in just a week and changed so much in a short time! I tried to keep note of all the fun stuff she was doing while he was gone, but I lost track! One thing we did do is transition her into the next size of the G diapers, so that could be considered a mile stone! Anyway!
Sunday Keri and Amara drove over from Tampa to pick up Grandma. Deb will be spending the week there and then taking Amara back to Illinois for "grandma camp" for the summer. Kris and I quickly jumped back into reality and, reality bites!!
When I dropped Karmann off at daycare today, I informed them about her cold and her eye. Though she is much better today, I ended up calling the doctor and asking if it was anything I needed to bring her in for. They recommended it, so Kris took her this afternoon. She doesn't have pink-eye and he didn't think she had a clogged tear duct, but that it was caused by the stuffy nose. So nothing to worry about. They did weigh her and she is 15 lbs 3 oz with a diaper on!! She's our little chub!! She's also drooling like crazy, but we don't see or feel any teeth. They must be coming soon though! You can see her drool in the photo above.
Well, I'm sure I forgot a million things. I'm mostly just happy Kris is home safe and in one piece. I'll post more photos when Kris gets some from his trip. Enjoy!

oh my goodness, look how much she is growing. Such a happy healthy little one. Brook was 15lbs at one year, that is funny to think about. I hope my next one is not so tiny, that is much more worrisome. anyway, want to hear more about the g diapers next time we talk. Karmann is gorgeous....I love her big blue eyes!!
