Go Magic!

Kris and I have been pre-occupied this week since the Magic have made it to the Finals, and Tuesday, Kris actually went to the game. He gave up his ticket for tonight's game (to save brownie points later, he said) but I'm sure it will still be a late night as we watch it on TV. Everyone at work really has the Blue & White spirit - the mayor announced that the dress code is relaxed this week and through out the finals and we all have been wearing magic shirts, or just blue and white to show our support. Its kind of neat seeing everyone actually participating. So, keep your fingers crossed for tonight!!! 

On another note, Missy K is growing up so fast! Next Friday will be her 6 month birthday - can you believe it?!? As I mentioned, she is sitting up by herself AND this morning I had her sitting up playing with her toys and she leaned forward had her face in the blanket, but had her butt up in the air on her feet! Then, she plopped over to the side and rolled to her back. The next thing I knew, she had rolled over again and was on her belly pushing up!!! I was so impressed! And freaked out at the same time - I'd say she's officially "on the move" with those skills!! Next step...baby proofing all cabinets and drawers!! 

She is also officially teething. I don't feel or see any teeth, but she is chewing on everything, being difficult when she nurses, and is drooling like a faucet!! It must be the most frustrating thing for her! She constantly has her fingers in her mouth, or sucks on her dress or sleeves. I can't wait to see her with teeth. I think it will be so cute! Hopefully she won't bite me though!! 

Well, it seems the LA Lakers brought the smog and heat with them from CA. The heat index was 101 today. Not to mention the humidity. It very rarely gets this hot in FL, and its going to be this hot all weekend. Maybe Karmann's first trip to the pool is in the future....
