This past week was a little rough. Karmann woke up Thursday night with a high fever. It was a 24 hour thing that luckily only included a fever and no other symptoms. She recovered fast and was back to normal by the weekend. Her thing lately has been "tomorrow mommy, I'll ___ tomorrow." It could be anything from giving me a hug or kiss good bye, to taking a shower, to going potty. Her latest saga with potty training, though is her saying "I never want to go pee pee or potty EVER AGAIN!" Its difficult to explain that that can't really happen, but she has it in her mind that it could! Its getting a little better, though. This past week she did go poop twice in the potty for us! However, I can't forget to mention that Friday when she was home sick, I came home in the morning before lunch so that Kris could attend a meeting, and Karmann was playing in my red shoes that I had worn to work. I had just been trying to get her to go potty, as she was doing the pee pee dance, and of course she refused. As soon as I turned around to go sit down, she announces that she indeed IS going potty - right through her clothes and directly into my shoe!!! After we went to the potty and got her clean clothes, I went to clean up the puddle, and she realized that she peed in the shoe, and she said "Mommy, I am sorry I peed in your RED shoe!" She figured it out that with the pee, she would not be able to play in them any more. Her other favorite saying is "I promise". This too is a procrastination strategy that she also uses when she doesn't want to go. She says she promises not to go in her pants or promises she'll tell me later. She's smart and she is currently getting away with it!

Well, I promised photos this time, so I am going to stop now and hope to get a few uploaded before I head to the kitchen to clean and then to bed. Daylight savings was this weekend...not looking forward to the consequences.
