Fish drama!

Santa brought the kids a fish tank last year (2013). So we have 5 fish - Sleeping Beauty, Belle, Aerial, Jasmine, and Ursala. Cinderella didn't make it for more than a few days, unfortunately. So, you say, what kind of drama can you have with a fish tank? Well, Sleeping Beauty (we think) laid eggs and baby fish have been hatching. Unfortunately, the other princesses have been eating the babies almost immediately. So once we saw this after who knows how many babies were hatched, we moving into crisis mode to save the baby fish that hadn't been eaten. These dramas started yesterday, and have resulted in removing the large princesses into a make-shift tank (its a travel cooler). However, somehow, the fish are jumping out of the tank and landing on the floor. In the mean time, the three babies and their mother are in the original tank and so far so good. So, who knew captive fish reproduce, but apparently they do. I thought having fish would be the least stressful pets, but this has exceeded my expectations! Who knew.
